We were so looking forward to growing our community participation in the New Balance XC Classic this year. It’s on of our favorite showcases of Alaska’s up and coming running talent, and a super fun event to be part of. Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to produce this event in 2020.
We will be seeing, at best, a changed and shortened high school cross-country running season. Meets will be small, modified formats which means getting 700 high school athletes and combining them with big group of community runners is not an option.
We thank you for your early sign-ups and enthusiasm for our event, and regret that we cannot host you this year.
Get outside, stay active, stay safe and I’m sure we will see you soon.
