WE’RE GOING VIRTUAL!
Well folks, it looks like holding the best running party of the summer won’t be an option this year. While some businesses and activities are opening back up, it’s not yet time for a 2000 person party. With an uncertain timeline for events like this to return, and a packed fall schedule, we don’t feel a postponement is possible.
But who says we can’t still have tons of running fun! We’re taking the Twilight 12k virtual and we’re going to make it as cool as we possibly can. And we’re going to support our community the best way we know how. And along the way hope to keep us in a position to come roaring back with fun, in-person races.

HOKA TIME TO ________!
Thanks to HOKA ONE ONE, we could be giving over 60 pairs of new shoes to essential workers around Alaska. This could be doctors, nurses and hospital support, EMT, firefighters and police, in-home care workers, or stockists at the market, receptionists or clerks at other offices. YOU tell US, why they’re essential and deserve to win. Simply nominate them, and we’ll pick the lucky ones at random.
We’re starting with 40 pair and to reach more than 60, we have to accumulate 10,000 miles towards the Twilight 12k. The more miles you train for the Twilight 12K the more shoes we can give away! We’re starting with bonus miles for the event distance for each confirmed virtual participant. We’ll add bonus miles for finish times posted. Get training!

Virtual Events and Results
A virtual run/walk is an event that you can complete anytime or anyplace during a specified period! The best part of a virtual event is convenience – you decide what works best for you.
The timeframe to complete your run is May 29th to June 15th. Get out on the trails or your favorite neighborhood loop and don’t forget to post a selfie on our Facebook Page when you have completed your run. Tag Skinny Raven Sports and use #twilight12K
Once you have finished your event you will be able to Submit your result online. You can post your results at any point between May 29th and June 14th. How do I post my results?
We are exploring ways for you to run a set course using a fun app, but that may depend on the regulations around the phased reopening of Anchorage during that time.
Take those gift cards and put them to good use while staying safe. Get some takeout with your family, grab a beer a grub at one of the restaurants that is open. We don’t know exactly what your party will look like in June, but we know you’ll have one! And please share your fun Twilight 12K party pics with us!
