The Skinny Raven Half will start and finish at the beautiful Rose Garden on the West End of the Delaney Park Strip. It will start on 10th Ave and finish on 10th Avenue and N St.

Our second year featuring our new course with fantastic Alaskan coastal and mountain views. You’ll head west out the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail before joining Point Woronzof Road. View snow covered mountains and watch the planes take off right above.

We will have waves. The 8:00 a.m. early Half Marathon wave, the 9:00 a.m. Half Marathon wave, and the 9:20 a.m. 10K Wave. There will be a “gun” time for the start of each of these waves, but you will have 5 minutes to cross the line. So those who wish to spread out and have more distance at the start can do so at your leisure. Your overall results and age group time will be based on your chip (net) time. The top 3 overall in each race and gender will be based on their time from the gun to support

The 8:00 a.m. wave is intended for participants who will take around 3 hours to complete their event so they don’t miss any of the fun at the finish line. It is NOT intended to give faster runners an opportunity to finish earlier in the day.

**If you run faster than 2:30:00 from the 8:00am wave, the aid stations and medical teams on the course will not be ready to support you.**

After you cross the finish line, waiting for you will be a delicious lunch, cider in the cider garden (don’t forget your ID), refreshments, the Kaladi coffee, snacks, recovery with United Physical Therapy and The Alaska Club, and fun activities from our vendors. Recover, refuel, and relax in the shade of the Rose Garden.

There will be a bag check near finish area. You can leave your belongings in the provided plastic bag to retrieve after you event. You know you want to be dry and comfy so you can relax and enjoy your achievement!

Aid stations will be stocked with water, electrolyte drink, and some additional single serving snacks. They are indicated on the course map.

Parking will available throughout downtown in the streets and parking garages. There will be no parking along the race route on N St. or 9th and 10th Streets between L Street and P Street. Please respect the neighborhoods and, if possible, park along the Park Strip east of L St. and in the downtown area.

We are happy to be working with Bike Anchorage provide safe and secure bike parking on event day. It works like a coat check – you check in your bike with our valet staff, take a number, and enjoy the event knowing your bike is secure. Bike parking is available on a first come basis.  This will be available near the event venue at the Park Strip.

Bike parking will be open from 7:00am to 12:30pm. Please respect our attendants and retrieve your bike by closing time!

Merchandise prizes will be given to the winner in the following age groups in each in-person race: 0-10; 11-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+. Age group rankings will be based on your chip time. Overall top 3 rankings will be based on your gun time in each gender

A fun selection of random prizes will be given out to finishers of the both the virtual and in-person events.

For participant safety, and to comply with our insurance, no pets, bicycles, or rollerblades are allowed in the race. Participants with baby joggers or strollers are asked to start in the back of the field and to be courteous to your fellow participants.
