We owe you a fun event, so we’re doing a fun event! We’ve created a fun clover shaped course for you at Kincaid featuring nordic trails, soccer fields, and some driveways. with small waves spaced out. 

There will be a virtual option for those that choose, lets color October Green!

In-person Event Location

The in person event will start and finish in the Kincaid Ski Stadium @ 9401 Raspberry Rd


Each participant gets a fresh beanie and a finisher pint glass. We are currently working with the Bear Tooth for a replacement for your beverage coupon on your bib as soon as we have it dialed in!

Run Virtually

All current entries will be converted to virtual entries. You must opt-in to change your registration to the in-person event.

  1. The timeline to run your virtual event is September 26 through October 4, so you can finish at the same time as the in-person event.

Easy steps to having an awesome virtual event:

  1. Log into your RunSignup profile and view and/or download your personalized virtual bib. You will also receive a real, paper bib with registration.
  2. Complete your distance(s)! You can run your favorite route on the trails, in your neighborhood, at the gym, or under the late night sunset.
  3. Post your finish(s). You can do this from the manual results upload at this link. (Using this method, you can indicate that you finished, but choose not to input your time)
    Or you can use the RaceJoy app to track your 5K. This fun app allows you to:
    • Automatically track your progress and distance on any course you choose.
    • Automatically post your results to the online event results
    • Allow your family and friends to track your progress and send you cheers.
    • Hear GPS progress alerts and pre-set cheers as you complete along your route
  4. Download your finisher certificate on personal your results page.
  5. Join us for packet pickup to get your bib and hat Or select a shipping method and your bib and shirt packet will be mailed to you. You can select a shipping method after the fact by managing your registration.

Food and Party

We’ll have some fun tunes pumping tunes all day, and we know you’ll have a great time but we can’t throw a big party this year. We’ll pick some random prize winners before event day and let you know how to pick it up. There will be water and limited pre-packaged grab and go event snacks to keep everyone safe and abide by MOA rules.

Bag Drop

There will be a controlled area where you drop a bag, you’ll get a tag to put on in with your bib number. You will have to have your bib number on you to check it in and check it out. 


Parking for the Shamrock Shuffle is available in the upper and lower Kincaid Parking lots.


Run the clover! this years course is a fun, clover shaped, 3 lobe course, with some short out and back sections. It’s mostly a grass surface and does have some hills. It’s challenging just like our normal March course! Scroll down for the map!

Safety Policy

For participant safety, and to comply with our insurance, no pets, bicycles, or rollerblades are allowed in the race. Participants running with baby joggers or strollers are asked to start in the back of the field and to be courteous to your fellow runners.

Virtual Safety

Participants must abide by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)’s recommendations for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and attest to having read the CDC’s guidance at:  Participants must also follow local, state and federal regulations regarding preventing the spread of COVID-19 for their region. Participant must abide by all pedestrian safety ordinances including running on a sidewalk where available and not in the road.  If there is no sidewalk or multi-use trail is available participants must run against oncoming traffic and not with traffic.

Travel from out of Alaska

For those of you who may be making the Shamrock Shuffle as part of a trip to Alaska or who have recently travelled home to Alaska, we MUST ensure we are all abiding by Anchorage’s Covid-19 Travel restrictions. Please review them here.

Changes, Deferments, and Redfunds

Because your health and comfort with our event is paramount, we are offering the option to swap to the virtual event, defer to 2021, defer to another future Skinny Raven event, or request a refund. We don’t want anyone who may be ill, at risk, or associated with those who are ill or at risk feeling pressured to participate because they cannot make changes to their registration or request a refund. Please email our race directors at with any questions in this regard.
