Turkey Trot

11.25.2021

REGISTRATION OPEN SOON!

Trot with us in Downtown Anchorage or virtually from anywhere!

In 2019 we set a fundraising record of $11,000. Incredibly, in 2020, we doubled that record, giving over $22,000 to the Food Bank Alaska. Despite all the challenges our community faced last year, you all stepped up to help those in need!

This year we’re back in-person, though not indoors. Come get some fresh air, exercise and cruise the downtown streets before you celebrate the evening with family and friends and help us feed our community!

In-Person Start Format

We’ll be assessing the COVID-19 situation as the event approaches. We’ll likely be using a short, rolling, open start to reduce gathering and spread participants out. Keep an eye on your email and social media for updates.

COVID-19 Policies

We are so stoked to be back celebrating together, BUT Covid-19 infections are on par with the highest infections rates we’ve seen yet during the pandemic. We are making some adjustments to our event to help keep our staff and community safe. Our event is 100% outdoors and we have plenty of space to keep our distance from others. We will do our best to provide a safe experience for you. We ask you and our staff to help us by:

  1. Self-screening for illness 1 week before and 1 day before our event. Please do not attend our event If you:
  2. Maintaining Appropriate social distance with those not in your known social circle
  3. Maintain sanitation by washing hands or using hand sanitizer during the event
  4. Our staff will be masked throughout bib pickup and the Saturday event when in contact with others.
  5. We ask that you mask up when in the common area of the Captain Cook, face to face with our staff or other participants or anytime you are not actively running as per USA Track & Field policy
  6. Depart the area shortly after your finish so we can keep gathering and face-to-face time to a minimum

We know we can have a great time and be safe if we all follow these guidelines. In the unlikely event that we must cancel the in-person event, all entries will be transferred to the virtual event. We will keep you updated on any changes to our covid-19 policies as the event approaches.

Downtown Parking Garages and Streets
This is a large event and we will close the roads of the race course at 9 A.M. There is plenty of parking in the downtown parking garages and on the downtown streets. There is NO parking along 9th and 10th Avenue against the Park Strip. We ask you to respect the no parking signs along the course route. Please help us be good neighbors to the residences south of 10th Avenue and respect their parking as well. It’s their Thanksgiving Day too.
