Race-day bib pickup, festivities, and the start and finish all occur on Depot Drive by the The Rail – 49th State Brewing’s new tasting room . Map Location

Both the 5K and 10K start together on Depot Dr. They follow 1st Ave, Cordova St, and Ship Creek Ave to Post Road. There you take a left, before turning left down the ramp to the Ship Creek Trail.

The 5K continues west on the Ship Creek Trial to just short of the comfort in where you run through a dirt parking lot to re-join Ship Creek Ave, then return to the finish via Cordova, 1st Ave, and Depot Drive.

For the 10K, once you join the Ship Creek Trail, you will run and out-and-back on the trail to william Tyson Elementary School before returning the same way as the 5K.

Both events will start at 2:oopm.

The relaxed walker wave goes at 2:03pm

You will have 5 minutes to cross the start line.

Once you’re finished you can head right into the 49th State Oktoberfest beer garden at The Rail tasting room for fun post-event activities. Our participants will get early access to 49th state food and beverage at 3:00pm. They will be checking IDs and you will get 21+ or a under 21 wrist band in order to imbibe in an adult beverage. If you leave and come back later you will need a regular ticket to get in to the celebration

Our event starts at 2:00pm , while 49th State’s gates open to the general public at 4pm so we’ll be sharing the post event fun! Click here for more info!

There will be a fun games and activities for the kiddos, live music, and more!

A $10 voucher for some tasty eats or drinks at Oktoberfest venue is included in your registration. It’s a voucher on your bib.  Your voucher is good at the 49th State’s Food Truck, pretzel station, and for beverage only at the Oktoberfest event venue. There will be other food trucks on-site if you’d like to purchase other options.

Food and Beverage service will start at 3:00pm.

The voucher will not be accepted at 49th State Brewing up on 3rd Ave.

Access to the Oktoberfest party area. Your bib is your ticket into the Oktoberfest party area during our event and you can stay as long as you want. If you leave the venue and wish to come back in after 4pm, then you will have to purchase a separate entrance ticket. Click here to purchase those tickets.

There will be a little bit of a walk or jog from parking access down to the race venue. There is a lot of parking in Downtown Anchorage streets and garages. Meters are free on Saturdays, but the 2 hour limit is enforced. There will be no event parking accessed from Depot Dr. or the Alaska Railroad Depot parking lot on 1st Ave.

Use the walk down to warm up, but be sure to give yourself enough time!

Both courses  will have an aid station at about mile 1.5. The 10K will pass the aid station again at about mile 4.6 and have one at the turnaround near William Tyson Elementary.

For participant safety, and to comply with our insurance, no pets, bicycles, or rollerblades are allowed in the race. Participants with baby joggers or strollers are asked to start in the back of the field and to be courteous to your fellow participants.
